LOCAL HISTORY

Experience many aspects of Las Vegas history — a village along the Santa Fe Trail, a bustling mercantile, farming and ranching center, a stop on the Santa Fe Railway or a motoring and tourist destination. Walk into La Casita to see a century of household changes. Learn about the cultural scene of the late 19th century through the Duncan Opera House and its Piano.   Matchbook from the Cowboy Reunion
  SANTA FE TRAIL

The Santa Fe Trail was a major force in the development of Las Vegas. The Trail contributed to commerce and brought immigrants and ideas to the region.
Rolling Along on the Santa Fe Trail chronicles how the Trail remains a romantic part of the American Experience, even after it was succeeded as a travel and trade route by railroads, highways and air travel.
